Wanda Bryant Hope, the chief diversity officer of Johnson & Johnson, said recently it’s more important than ever that universities educate their students about diversity and inclusion. Hope, a 1987 Penn State Smeal College of Business marketing graduate, was the keynote speaker at Smeal’s START (Striving Toward Awareness and Respect for Tomorrow) Conference at the Nittany Lion Inn.

2017 Powerful Women conference features multiple accomplished female leaders

Penn State Smeal receives $75,000 gift from Goldman Sachs Gives to support global studies

The Penn State Smeal College of Business has received a gift of $75,000 from Goldman Sachs Gives, a donor-advised fund, to create the Gido Family Goldman Sachs Excellence Fund. The donation was made at the recommendation of Jeffrey M. Gido, a Penn State alumnus and partner at Goldman Sachs, and will provide financial assistance to give students who might not otherwise have the financial resources necessary to take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad.
