Penn State Online MBA ranked No. 7 in U.S. News’ Best Online Programs rankings

UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State Online MBA, led by the internationally ranked Penn State Smeal College of Business, is No. 7 overall in U.S. News’ 2021 Best Online Programs rankings — marking the fifth consecutive year the program has ranked in the top 10.

The AACSB-accredited program, which is delivered online through Penn State World Campus, was evaluated among 295 other colleges and universities. Rankings are determined by statistical surveys measuring engagement, expert opinion, services and technology, faculty credentials and training and student excellence.

The Penn State Online MBA received high marks for how well the school prepares its faculty to teach remotely (93/100); student satisfaction and instructor responsiveness (91/100); and its ability to admit highly qualified applicants (82/100).

“By focusing on delivering a high-quality MBA experience, and always keeping our students’ needs at the forefront of everything we do, we are humbled to be recognized once again for being one of the top online MBA programs in the country,” Penn State Online MBA Managing Director Stacey Dorang Peeler said.

U.S. News also ranked the online MBA programs across the various specialties, in which Penn State’s Online MBA ranked No. 8 in marketing, No. 9 in business analytics, No. 9 in general management and No. 19 in finance. 

U.S. News ranked Penn State’s overall portfolio of online master’s degrees in business fields No. 10 out of 164 institutions. Programs in this portfolio offered through the Smeal College of Business include:

 While ranking best programs for veterans, U.S. News placed Penn State’s portfolio of online master’s programs in business fields at No. 3 and the online MBA at No. 5.
