The redesigned Penn State Online MBA (OMBA) ushered in its first graduating class in August 2019. In a partnership with Penn State World Campus, and led by the internationally recognized Smeal College of Business, the redesigned program opened in fall 2017, offering students greater flexibility and more choices with a total of 15 concentrations and a summer start date.

Scott and Marcy Tarriff want Smeal College of Business graduates to leave Penn State cognizant of their responsibility to act ethically, socially, and globally while using their education to improve society. To enhance college-wide efforts to meet that objective, the couple has pledged $5 million to create the Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility in the Smeal College of Business. The announcement was made today in the Business Building Atrium.

The findings suggest that not all companies make concessions to activists as a result of threats but may instead have a workforce that is more amenable to activists’ requests.

Kaitlyn Rakestraw, who also graduated with a degree in SC&IS, was a runner-up.
