Penn State Smeal S.T.A.R.T. Conference highlights diversity in business
Business leaders from EY, KPMG, BP, Boeing, PwC, Frito Lay, Altria, and Johnson & Johnson will join students, faculty and administration from the Penn State Smeal College of Business on March 30 to discuss business initiatives in diversity at the 18th annual S.T.A.R.T. Conference.
The conference, organized by Smeal students, kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Nittany Lion Inn on Penn State’s University Park campus. The event is free and open to all Penn State students, staff, and faculty. Attendees should pre-register for the event online.
S.T.A.R.T. (Striving Toward Awareness & Respect for Tomorrow) is a professional development conference developed to increase diversity awareness in corporate settings. It includes networking opportunities, workshops on diversity, awareness, and corporate initiatives.
Wilson Friend, director of account information services at Altria Client Services, and Penn State alumna Wanda Bryant Hope, chief diversity officer for Johnson & Johnson, will speak.
