Prospective students interested in the Philadelphia-based Penn State Smeal Executive MBA Program will have another unique opportunity this week to learn from one of Smeal’s award-winning faculty.

A second EMBA Workshop is planned for 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the suburban Philadelphia home of the Smeal EMBA Program, the Chubb Conference Center in Lafayette Hill.

Ralph Oliva, professor of marketing and faculty leader of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, will present “Building a Winning Value Proposition.”

“We feel confident that prospective students who attend this workshop will not only go home with skills they can use in their present position, but also a snapshot of how effective our EMBA faculty are in the classroom,” said Jason Stieg, managing director of the Smeal EMBA Program.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to save your spot.

On Oct. 7, Lou Gattis, clinical professor of finance and the faculty director for the program, presented “Analyzing and Planning for Your Personal Finances.”

“Lou’s workshop went very well. It was a very personalized, hands-on session that featured a 50-50 mix of prospective students and alumni,” Stieg said.

“Ralph has designed this as a microcosm of our EMBA experience, not a seminar. Attendees are asked to bring something to act on or that they are interested in. After the workshop, attendees will walk away a step further along in the process.”
