October 25, 2016

The Penn State Smeal College of Business named Diane Wade as its newest member to the college’s Institute for Real Estate Studies Advisory Board. Wade is a principal and senior analyst with CBRE Clarion Securities in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

“I am excited that Diane is joining Smeal’s IRES Advisory Board. Diane has been actively involved with Penn State’s real estate program as a judge in our annual IRES student REIT stock pitch competition” said Brent Ambrose, Smeal professor of real estate and director of the Institute for Real Estate Studies.

Wade graduated from Penn State in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate. She joined CBRE Clarion Securities’ predecessor firm in 1996. Prior to that, she worked at the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Inc., Barnes, Morris, Pardoe and Foster Inc., and Grubb & Ellis of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

As a member of CBRE Clarion Securities’ Americas research team, she is responsible for the evaluation of public real estate companies within the U.S. Retail, Apartment and Net Lease property sectors, and Canada. She is active in the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the CFA Institute.

The board is comprised of business, government and education professionals who have an interest in promoting and financially supporting the real estate programs at Penn State. The board focuses on creating opportunities to enhance student educational experiences and support leading edge research on real estate issues.
