Ceremony and Smeal Reception Set for Commencement Weekend

About 250 students will receive undergraduate degrees from the Penn State Smeal College of Business on Saturday, Dec. 21, and more than 50 students will earn their Master of Accounting degrees, during commencement ceremonies to mark the end of the fall semester at Penn State. In addition, five doctoral students and one master’s student will also receive their diplomas.

The commencement ceremony for undergraduate students in the Smeal College of Business will be held at 9 a.m. on Dec. 21 in the Bryce Jordan Center. They will join students from the College of Agricultural Sciences, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the College of Information Sciences and Technology in receiving their diplomas.

The Penn State Graduate School ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m., also in the Bryce Jordan Center.

Smeal will host a reception on Dec. 20 for members of the class of 2013 and their friends and family members. The Senior Sendoff celebration will take place from 4-5 p.m. in the Business Building Atrium. Charles H. Whiteman will deliver remarks, and light refreshments will be served.
