Job Hunting during the Financial Crisis
Video is now available online from Smeal’s forum for students concerned about the financial crisis and its impact on the job market. The Oct. 24 discussion featured several career and economic experts sharing their insights on the crisis, how it happened, and what it means for students as they prepare to enter the workforce.
The event opened with comments on the economy from Keith Crocker, Elliott Chaired Professor of Insurance and Risk Management, and J. Randall Woolridge, professor of finance. Following the faculty remarks, Smeal’s career services staff and other career experts offered tips on how to navigate the tight job market and get noticed by potential employers.
