Penn State Recognized as National Leader in Green Power Use
Penn State is ranked fourth in the nation among colleges and universities for the amount of green power it uses, according to a report from the Environmental Protection Agency. The University is ranked 49th among all organizations participating in the Green Power Partnership, including Fortune 500 companies, federal government agencies, and local and state governments.
Smeal to Host Two Speakers on Sports Business
The Center for Sports Business & Research at the Penn State Smeal College of Business will host two guest speakers from the sports industry in the next month. Guido D'Elia, director of communications and branding for football at Penn State, will speak on Feb. 24, and Tim McGee of sports agency IMG World, will speak on March 15. Both talks will begin at 6 p.m. in 102 Thomas.

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) has awarded a 2011 Logistics Student Scholarship to Cassandra Furnival, a junior majoring in Supply Chain and Information Systems at the Penn State Smeal College of Business.
