Two Smeal Grads Named Alumni Fellows

Two Smeal College of Business alumni were honored on Oct. 13 for their outstanding professional accomplishments and given the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Penn State Alumni Association. Smeal's 2010 Alumni Fellows are Karen L. Quintos '85, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Dell Inc., and Walter C. Rakowich '79, chief executive officer of ProLogis.

Penn State Names IRES Board Member Alumni Fellow

Smeal College of Business alumnus Walter C. Rakowich '79, chief executive officer of ProLogis, has been named a Penn State Alumni Fellow. Rakowich, who sits on the Institute for Real Estate Studies advisory board, was honored for his outstanding profession accomplishments on Oct. 13. The Alumni Fellow award is lifetime title and is the highest award given by the Penn State Alumni Association.

President of Largest U.S. Real Estate Company, Simon Property Group, to Speak at Smeal

Penn State alumnus Richard Sokolov, president and chief operating officer of Simon Property Group, Inc., will deliver this year's Advance Realty Group Real Estate Lecture at the Smeal College of Business on Nov. 5. Sokolov's talk will begin at 10:10 a.m. in 108 Business Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
