The Wall Street Journal released its annual ranking of the world's top executive MBA programs, and the Penn State Smeal College of Business is ranked No. 26.

Terry Harrison, professor of supply chain and information systems at the Penn State Smeal College of Business, has been elected 2011 president-elect of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the world's largest society for professionals in the field of operations research, management science and business analytics.
Two Smeal Grads Named Alumni Fellows
Two Smeal College of Business alumni were honored on Oct. 13 for their outstanding professional accomplishments and given the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Penn State Alumni Association. Smeal's 2010 Alumni Fellows are Karen L. Quintos '85, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Dell Inc., and Walter C. Rakowich '79, chief executive officer of ProLogis.
Penn State Names IRES Board Member Alumni Fellow
Smeal College of Business alumnus Walter C. Rakowich '79, chief executive officer of ProLogis, has been named a Penn State Alumni Fellow. Rakowich, who sits on the Institute for Real Estate Studies advisory board, was honored for his outstanding profession accomplishments on Oct. 13. The Alumni Fellow award is lifetime title and is the highest award given by the Penn State Alumni Association.
Smeal EMBA Alumnus Named to Penn State Board of Trustees
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell appointed Smeal College of Business Executive MBA alumnus Paul H. Silvis, founder of Restek Corp. and currently the head coach of SilkoTek, to the Penn State Board of Trustees.
President of Largest U.S. Real Estate Company, Simon Property Group, to Speak at Smeal
Penn State alumnus Richard Sokolov, president and chief operating officer of Simon Property Group, Inc., will deliver this year's Advance Realty Group Real Estate Lecture at the Smeal College of Business on Nov. 5. Sokolov's talk will begin at 10:10 a.m. in 108 Business Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Smeal Launches Faculty/Staff Fundraising Campaign
The Smeal College of Business has officially launched its faculty and staff initiative of For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students with the creation of a new scholarship, announced at the initiative's official kickoff on October 7.
