Smeal Hosts Wall Street Discussion On Economic Crisis
A panel of finance and economic experts will discuss the financial crisis and the future of the global economy this week at the Smeal College of Business' Wall Street Initiative event in New York City.
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (November 17, 2008) – A panel of finance and economic experts will discuss the financial crisis and the future of the global economy this week at the Smeal College of Business' Wall Street Initiative event in New York City.
The event gets underway with a networking reception for Penn State alumni at 6 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Bank of America Tower in Manhattan.
Following the reception, Smeal alumna Farnoosh Torabi '02, senior correspondent with TheStreet.com, will moderate the panel discussion. The panelists are Nate Kline '03, founder and principal, Naissance Management LLC; Mark Linsz, market risk executive, Bank of America; Mike Moran '80 Ph.D., chief economist, Daiwa Securities America; and J. Randall Woolridge, professor of finance, Smeal.
The panel discussion will be broadcast live beginning at 6:45 p.m. in Smeal's Trading Room for students and faculty at University Park.
Since 1999, the Wall Street Initiative has been connecting Penn State alumni who work on Wall Street with the goal of strengthening corporate relationships with the University, providing networking opportunities for alumni, and assisting students in pursuit of careers in New York's financial district.
