UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (April 2, 2008) – Managers from four top manufacturing operations will visit Penn State's Smeal College of Business this month to discuss their experiences introducing technological and organizational change in their manufacturing processes.
The 63rd meeting of the Advanced Manufacturing Forum, hosted by Smeal's Center for the Management of Technological and Organizational Change (CMTOC), will be held April 10 and 11 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on Penn State's University Park campus.
Representatives from Black & Decker Corp., MEDRAD, Inc., Weir Minerals, and Xerox Corp. will share insights from their recent implementation of changes and technological innovations in their operations.
The forum begins with a reception and dinner on the evening of April 10 and continues the following day with the four presentations. Two breakout sessions—one in the morning, the other in the afternoon—allow attendees to discuss each topic in greater depth.
The four presenters are:
• Daniel Banaszak, plant manager for Monochrome Products, Xerox Corp.
• Bruce Jones, managing director, Weir Minerals North America
• Mike Kochis, plant manager, Heilman Center Manufacturing Facility, and Doug Wilson, engineering manager, MEDRAD, Inc.
• Ron Walters, director, NA Supply Planning, Black & Decker Corp.
