Two Smeal Students Win Supply Chain Scholarships
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (December 20, 2006) – The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Services Group has awarded two of its 2006 University Relations scholarships to Smeal College of Business students.
Neha Sawhney and Matthew Fisher, both undergraduates majoring in Supply Chain and Information Systems, received the $1,000 scholarship.
The students also received sponsored registration and a travel allowance to attend the ISM Services Conference, which took place Dec. 7-8 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Seven other students from Arizona State University, Western Michigan University, and Michigan State University also won scholarships and travel to the conference.
Smeal's supply chain program was ranked as the top such program in North America in a survey published in the September 2005 issue of Supply Chain Management Review. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranks the Smeal undergraduate program fifth in the nation in the category of Supply Chain/Logistics.
ISM is the oldest and largest supply management institute in the world.
