Supply Chain Lecture Series Starts

A new lecture series devoted to supply chain topics kicks off next week at Penn State.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA-A new lecture series devoted to supply chain topics kicks off next week at Penn State.

The first speaker in the "Supply Chain Lecture Series" is Dr. Eric Johnson of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University. His lecture, "How the Web is Reweaving Supply Chains: Reflections on the Past Three Years and Roadmap for Future Research," will be held Tuesday, November 20, from 10:30 to noon in 129 Waring Hall.

The series is being presented by the Center for Supply Chain Research in Penn State's Smeal College of Business, in conjunction with the Department of Business Logistics, Department of Management Science and Information Systems, and the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.

Johnson is associate professor of business administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University. He is the author of the recently published book Supply Chain Management: Innovations for Education . His teaching and research focuses on the impact the web is having on supply chain management.
