"The Teaching Awards Banquet" is an annual Smeal MBA event where the students recognize the efforts of all the faculty and staff members in the MBA Program. The highlight of the event is the presentation of the "Excellence in Teaching Awards" to two core (1st year classes) faculty members and two elective (2nd year) faculty members. Just like the Academy Awards, the winners were announced at the banquet that took place Friday, March 16 at the Penn Stater.
The winners from the Core MBA faculty were Paul Fischer, associate professor of accounting; and Wayne DeSarbo, The Mary Jean & Frank P. Smeal Distinguished Chaired Professor of Marketing. The winners from the Elective MBA Faculty (2nd year classes) were Chris J. Muscarella, professor of finance and The L.W. "Roy" and Mary Lois Clark Teaching Fellow, and Albert Vicere, professor of business administration.
