Frederick T. Houlihan is has been named as the Associate Director of Information Systems and Operations for Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration.
Frederick T. Houlihan is has been named as the Associate Director of
Information Systems and Operations for Penn State's Smeal College of Business
Administration.
Houlihan is joining the Research, Instruction, and Information Technologies
(RIIT) Group in Smeal College after a 30-year career with IBM and as an
IT consultant to several major financial organizations. In his new role,
Houlihan's responsibilities will include implementing new technology initiatives
and provide leadership to academic and program units of Smeal College
to translate technology objectives into strategic plans and system development
across Smeal College. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately.
From 1984 through 1991, Houlihan led IBM's Penn State systems engineering
technical support team for campus computing and networking. Houlihan retired
from IBM in 1995 and was a consultant to The Vanguard Group investment
services Web Release Engineering Group prior to joining Smeal College.
