Full Commission Agents Don't Sell Homes Faster, Real-estate Study Suggests
It is not surprising that full commission agents--such as those at RE/MAX--generally outperform other agents. However, this simple observation raises an important question for home sellers: Would it be better to list their home with a full commission agent? After studying home sales in the Athens, Georgia area, researchers from Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration and the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business found no statistically significant difference between RE/MAX agents and traditional agents with respect to the time it takes to sell a listing and the sale price.
