The Verizon (formerly GTE/Bell Atlantic) Foundation recently contributed $10,000 for graduate fellowships in business. The gift was given on behalf of Verizon and all its domestic subsidiaries and reflects its commitment to encourage students to pursue graduate study.
The Verizon Foundation was launched on July 3, 2000 to serve the nonprofit community on behalf of Verizon Communications. The new Verizon Foundation will invest $70 million in support of the communities it serves, making Verizon one of the top ten largest corporate foundations in the United States.
