Nominations for Michael Ryan Phillips Scholarship

Nominations now being accepted for the Michael Ryan Phillips Scholarship - eligible candidates are current 1st year MBA's; nominations can come from either a 1st or 2nd year student.

Michael Ryan Phillips Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established for first-year MBA students entering their second year at Penn State. Michael's memorial scholarship is dedicated to those Penn State MBA students demonstrating outstanding scholastic achievement, commitment to the continuous improvement of the program and community, and an extraordinary loyalty to their classmates. If you feel a fellow classmate has demonstrated these values in their first year at Penn State, I would encourage you to nominate this person for the Michael Ryan Phillips Memorial MBA Scholarship. Nomination Procedures: Nominations of a first-year student must be made by a fellow Penn State student (1st or 2nd year) and include the attached completed form.
Nomination Deadline: All nominations must be received by Tuesday, March 31st.
Award Procedures: All nominations will be reviewed and the top candidates will be selected. Those candidates will then be asked to submit a personal application form provided by the panel. The scholarship will be awarded by a panel of Penn State faculty, administration and alumni to the candidate most exemplifying the scholarships values.
Award Date: April 20th (MBA Teaching Awards Reception)
Award Amount: $1,500 – Fall 2009
Scholarship Eligibility: Any full-time, first-year student (entering their second year) enrolled in Penn State’s Smeal College MBA program.
Scholarship Proceeds: Proceeds from the scholarship may be applied to tuition, room and board, books, fees, and any incidental expenses associated with enrollment at PSU.
Scholarship Duration: The scholarship will be awarded in one installment (Fall Semester 2009) for the successful candidates second year in the Smeal College MBA program.
