Smeal advanced in this year’s rankings from its positions last year of 48th overall, 23rd among publics, and seventh in Supply Chain/Logistics. 

Smeal has improved its position in various media rankings over the past few months. Both The Economist and Financial Times ranked the MBA program among the top ten U.S. public business schools. Bloomberg Businessweek recently ranked the college’s undergraduate program in the top ten for public schools and number one among recruiters. 

U.S. News bases its rankings on qualitative evaluations of reputation by deans, program directors, and corporate recruiters. The ranking also considers placement success, starting salary/bonus, employment rate, student selectivity, GMAT score, grade point average, and acceptance rate. The specialty rankings are based solely on ratings by business school deans and program directors.
