Hershey Medical Center was struggling to enroll participants in outpatient clinical trials and compete with more nimble competitors in the private sector. Penn State Smeal MBA Students Top U.S. Schools at Logistics Case Competition
Last month, six students in the Penn State Smeal College of Business MBA Program traveled to the University of Arkansas to compete in the Sam M. Walton College of Business International Graduate Logistics Case Competition. The Smeal team topped their U.S. competitors and earned third place overall.

Wal-Mart Gives Smeal MBAs Hands-On Research Project
Having the chance to research and improve Wal-Mart’s distribution network as a student is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Bob Novack, associate professor of supply chain at Smeal, guided his second-year MBAs as they took on this seven and a half week project. After analyzing all aspects from suppliers to consumers to inventory and transportation, Novack and his students were able to add flexibility into the network and help reduce cost of lost sales.

Brian Cameron to Join Smeal College as Associate Dean for Professional Master's Programs
