Penn State to Offer Joint M.D./M.B.A. Program
The Smeal College of Business and Penn State College of Medicine have teamed up to offer a five-year joint M.D./M.B.A. program beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year. MBAs Experience Global Economy in Weeklong Immersion
In March, first-year students in the Smeal College of Business MBA Program completed their global immersion. They spent a week in one of four locations worldwide—Santiago, Chile; Shanghai, China; New Delhi, India; or San Francisco (for international students)—to get a glimpse of the global economy in action and the challenges and opportunities associated with doing business under different laws, regulations, and customs.

Career Fairs Kick Off Fall Recruiting Season at Smeal
With only 500 miles or so between Penn State’s University Park campus and one of the largest MBA career fairs in the nation, more than a third of the students in the Smeal MBA Program decided to pack their bags and set out for Indianapolis in late September. The MBA road-trip was just one of many activities during the month designed to connect corporate recruiters with Smeal College of Business students at all levels seeking internships, co-ops, and full-time opportunities.
